On February 17, 2011, under Law No. 6114, Istanbul Gelişim University was established with the aim of becoming a "world university," and by the 2023-2024 academic year, it had grown to include 6 faculties, a Graduate Education Institute, 2 schools, and 2 vocational schools.
For national and international students, the university offers education opportunities through 6 faculties, 2 schools, 2 vocational schools, 77 undergraduate programs, 61 associate degree programs in regular education, 34 associate degree programs in evening education, and within the Graduate Education Institute, 39 thesis and 38 non-thesis graduate programs, and 9 doctoral programs.
Located in Istanbul, the financial and commercial hub of Turkey and the world, the university boasts a campus with over 140 laboratories available for extensive research by its students. Additionally, the university has 20 research centers and 93 student clubs that allow students to actively participate in social, cultural, and sports activities alongside their academic studies.
The rapidly growing and dynamic structure of the university emphasizes the importance of collaborations and agreements with external participants.
