Istanbul Nisantasi University was established by the Nisantasi Education Foundation on 17.09.2009.
While 19 programs were offered in the academic year 2011-2012, the number of programs increased to 84 in the academic year 2018-2019.
The language of instruction is Turkish, with the number of departments using English as the language of instruction rising to 8 in the academic year 2016-2017.
In the academic year 2017-2018, a total of 44 undergraduate programs were offered, including 9 in the Faculty of Arts and Design, 10 in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, and 25 in the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences.
In the academic year 2018-2019, 9 new undergraduate programs were offered, and in the academic year 2020-2021, 3 new associate degree programs were opened.
English courses have been added to the departments with Turkish as the language of instruction to enhance students' international competitiveness.
In 2013, Istanbul Nisantasi University opened its master's degree programs, followed by doctoral programs in 2015.
All associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs at the university are offered in a formal education format.
The university offers Double Major and Minor programs, allowing students to obtain a diploma in a second field.
