Atılım University has been selected by YÖK as a university specializing in "Hydrogen and Fuel Cells" under the "Priority Areas Mission" and is one of 25 universities to benefit from support in this field. It has also gained prominence in national and international rankings. In the Times Higher Education (THE) world university rankings by TES Global, it ranks 4th among Turkish foundation universities and 2nd among Turkish universities in the Physical Sciences category. Additionally, in the BRICS and Emerging Economies rankings, it holds the 62nd position, ranking 6th among all Turkish universities and 4th among foundation universities. The university also achieves significant success in SCIMAGO, URAP, and Webometrics rankings.
The university offers education in various faculties and schools, including Engineering, Medicine, Law, Business, Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Science and Literature, Health Sciences, the School of Civil Aviation, the Vocational School of Health Services, and the Vocational School. More than 10,000 students use over 170 laboratories and research centers for their studies. The Metal Forming Center of Excellence stands out as the first and only of its kind in Turkey and one of the most advanced in Europe. The Civil Aviation Training Center, located at Esenboğa Airport, features the first and only aircraft hangar within a university in Ankara.
