Selcuk University is a state university founded in Konya on April 11, 1975.
Selcuk Higher Teachers' School became the Faculty of Education, Konya State Engineering and Architecture Academy became the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, and Konya Higher Islamic Institute became the Faculty of Theology. In addition, Law, Medicine, Agriculture and Veterinary Faculties and Health, Science and Social Sciences Institutes were established.
Selcuk University is one of the largest educational institutions in Turkey today with 23 faculties, 7 institutes, 5 colleges, 1 conservatory, 23 vocational schools, 53 research centers, over 70,000 students and over 7,000 academic staff.
Selcuk University's campus is located in Konya, Turkey. The campus is located very close to the city center and includes various university buildings, social facilities and green areas spread over a wide area.
