Near East University is a university founded in 1988 in Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Near East University is a full member of the European University Association (EUA), the World University Association (IAU) under UNESCO, the Federation of Universities in the Islamic World (FUIW), the International Society for Engineering Education (IGIP), the International Medical Accreditation System (JCI) and 118 national and international organizations.

The university offers 196 undergraduate, 240 graduate and doctoral programs with 20 faculties, 6 institutes, 5 colleges, 32 research centers.
