Founded in 1996 by the Istanbul Education and Culture Foundation (ISTEK), Yeditepe University aims to educate contemporary, research-oriented, and innovative young individuals equipped with the skills needed by the business world, all while embracing Atatürk's principles.
Yeditepe University provides education through 13 faculties: Dentistry, Pharmacy, Education, Arts and Sciences, Fine Arts, Law, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Communication, Architecture, Engineering, Health Sciences, Medicine, and Computer and Information Sciences. Additionally, it offers 69 undergraduate programs and 4 associate degree programs through 2 schools and 1 vocational school. Graduate education is provided through 91 master's and 44 doctoral programs within the Institutes of Atatürk Principles and History of Reforms, European Studies, Educational Sciences, Natural Sciences, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences. The medium of instruction is English. Since its inception, the university has been preparing young people from all over Turkey for the future at the 26 Ağustos Campus.
The 26 Ağustos Campus is designed to meet the educational, cultural, artistic, sports, and other needs of students. Located on the slopes of Kayışdağı on Istanbul's Anatolian side, the campus is inspired by Seljuk architecture, spread over an area of 125,000 square meters, with buildings and social facilities encompassing a closed area of 223,000 square meters. The campus includes two separate student dormitories with a total capacity of 3,270 students.
