Located in the heart of the capital Ankara, Çankaya University began its educational journey on November 5, 1997 under the auspices of the Sıtkı Alp Education Foundation (SAEV).
Çankaya University, which takes its name from the Çankaya district, which has significant historical importance during the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, aims to continue to be a source of pride for its staff, students and graduates by contributing to the formation of a common understanding of the increasing importance of human rights, ensuring its internationalization and pioneering the dissemination of science and technology.
The language of education at Çankaya University is 100% English; except for the Faculty of Justice, the Faculty of Law and the Department of Public Relations and Advertising, which provides education in Turkish. Students who do not have sufficient proficiency in a foreign language receive English Preparatory Education for one academic year. The university has 21 departments, 5 faculties with 26 master's and 9 doctoral programs, 2 institutes, 2 vocational schools offering 4 programs and a Foreign Languages Department supporting English education.
