The "Antalya Mediterranean University Foundation for Assistance and Support for the Establishment of Antalya Mediterranean University" was established on February 3, 1973, to expedite the establishment of Akdeniz University in Antalya. This initiative aimed to introduce new faculties to Antalya and initiate the establishment process of Akdeniz University. Akdeniz University continues to provide education, research, and community service through its 24 faculties, 7 institutes, 1 school, 1 conservatory, 12 vocational schools, and 51 research and application centers. Since its establishment, Akdeniz University has become one of the country's significant educational institutions with its rich history, knowledge, and institutional structure. It aims to provide education and scientific production at the universal level and meet the community's needs in terms of knowledge, technology, art, culture, and other areas. The university offers a wide range of social activities and living spaces to expand its social areas. Additionally, it provides various student services, including psychosocial, health, and cultural services, student clubs, and sports services, as well as opportunities such as accommodation, libraries, and study spaces.
