The university aims to produce young individuals who are pioneers of reason and science, contemporary, free-thinking, and with developed sense of responsibility, respectful of the beliefs and values of society, embracing cultural and historical values, and possessing an international vision. It consists of 15 faculties, 2 schools, 15 vocational schools, 1 conservatory, 4 institutes, 27 application and research centers, 1 research center, and 5 departments affiliated with the Rectorate. The foundation of the university is based on the Bursa Medical Faculty, established under Istanbul University in 1970, and the Bursa Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, founded in 1974. Originally established on April 11, 1975, under the name "Bursa University," it took on the name "Uludağ University" on July 20, 1982. However, on May 18, 2018, a decision was made to change the name of our university to "BURSA ULUDAĞ UNIVERSITY."
