The university, aiming to contribute to science and technology by conducting research based on scientific data and to train qualified individuals who can meet the needs of our era, started its education and training activities on October 3, 2011, as the 97th university of our country and the 5th state university of Ankara, the capital city, with 7 faculties, 1 college, 4 institutes, and 1 conservatory. As of 2022, there are 15 faculties, 1 college, 1 state conservatory, 4 vocational schools, 5 institutes, and 27 application and research centers.
As a university aiming to serve our country and humanity, to solve current problems related to the future of science and humanity, and to guide our country and society, our university offers education in various fields such as Medicine, Engineering, Architecture, Aviation and Space Sciences, Political Sciences, Business Administration, and Psychology (within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) in English at the undergraduate level. Our Law Faculty, with the distinction of being the first in state universities, continues its 30% English language education program, and our History program in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences also continues its 30% English language education.
The university is positioned as an international university with approximately 11% international undergraduate students, bilateral agreements with 203 international universities, student, academic staff, and administrative staff exchange programs, joint diploma programs, and a large number of foreign national academic staff members.
The departments that started undergraduate education at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University aim to train qualified individuals that our country urgently needs. We provide foreign language education to our students to ensure that they have advanced proficiency in at least one foreign language, which will provide them with significant advantages in the future.
