Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKU) was established in 2015 as a state university in Alanya. ALKU aims to provide high-quality higher education in an international learning environment. With its 8 faculties (Business Administration, Engineering, Medicine, Education, Tourism, Sports Sciences, Health Sciences, Dentistry), 3 vocational schools (Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Health Sciences), and 5 vocational colleges, the university offers various associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs.
ALKU is the first state university located in a city outside of provincial capitals, highlighting the importance and potential of Alanya. The faculties offer both regular and evening education programs, and English-language instruction is available in all faculties when needed. The Faculty of Business Administration offers an optional English preparatory year. Additionally, German, Russian, and Arabic languages are taught in various programs.
Students have the opportunity to pursue double major or minor programs, attend summer schools, and transfer horizontally to other higher education institutions in Turkey. Moreover, ALKU participates in student and academic exchange programs such as Erasmus, Mevlana, and Farabi, both domestically and internationally.
The university places great emphasis on the social and cultural activities of its students. These include the Spring Festival, student clubs, environmental and technical trips, educational seminars, conferences, concerts, exhibitions, sports events, and more. Currently, ALKU hosts approximately 130 international students from 40 different countries, with an expected increase in the future.
