Antalya Bilim University was founded by the Gaye Education, Health, Sports and Environment Foundation and started accepting students in the 2012-2013 academic year.

The university was officially established on July 21, 2010, according to the decision published in the Official Gazette. Antalya Bilim University consists of six faculties, four vocational schools and two institutes offering a wide range of academic programs. The primary language of instruction is English.

Antalya Bilim University operates from its main campus, which includes the rectorate, two academic buildings and a dormitory building. In addition, the city campus hosts the preparatory school and postgraduate programs. The girls' dormitory facilities are located on the main campus, while the boys' dormitory is located in the Döşemealtı district. The university can be reached by private shuttles and public transportation.
