Antalya Bilim University, previously known as International Antalya University, was established as the second university and the first foundation university in Antalya, Turkey. It was founded by the Gaye Education, Health, Sports, and Environment Foundation and began admitting students in the 2012-2013 academic year. The current rector of the university is Prof. Dr. Semih Ekercin.
The university was officially established on July 21, 2010, as per the decision published in the Official Gazette. Antalya Bilim University is composed of six faculties, four vocational schools, and two institutes, offering a broad range of academic programs. The primary language of instruction is English.
Antalya Bilim University operates from its main campus, which includes the rectorate, two academic buildings, and a dormitory building. Additionally, the urban campus hosts the preparatory school and graduate programs. Female dormitory facilities are located on the main campus, while the male dormitory is situated in the Döşemealtı district. The university is accessible via private shuttles and public transportation.
In the 2021-2022 academic year, the university had a total of 5524 students, including 1260 associate degree students, 3714 undergraduate students, 546 master's students, and 4 doctoral students. As of 2022, the academic staff comprised 47 professors, 19 associate professors, 120 doctoral faculty, 63 lecturers, and 38 research assistants, totaling 287 academic personnel.
Antalya Bilim University is notable for its diverse student body, with students from 83 different countries, reflecting its international appeal and commitment to global education standards. The university graduated its first cohort in 2017.
