Overview

Adana is a city in southern Turkey, located in the Mediterranean Region, renowned for its historical and cultural richness. Situated on both sides of the Seyhan River, Adana stands out as a significant center for agriculture, industry, and trade, thanks to the fertile lands of Çukurova. With a history dating back to 6000 BC, the city has hosted numerous civilizations, including the Hittites, Assyrians, Romans, and Ottomans. Structures like the Stone Bridge (Taşköprü), the Grand Mosque (Ulu Camii), and the ancient city of Anavarza are remarkable examples of this rich heritage.

Adana's cuisine is famous for its flavorful dishes. Local specialties such as Adana kebab, şalgam juice, bici bici, and içli köfte attract both residents and visitors. Its natural attractions include the Seyhan Dam Lake, Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls, and the Yumurtalık Lagoon.

With the annual Orange Blossom Carnival and its warm, welcoming people, Adana offers its guests a unique blend of cultural and natural treasures.
