Dicle University was established on November 30, 1973. Our university has 17 Faculties with modern buildings, 12 Vocational Schools equipped with technical facilities, 3 Higher Schools, 1 Conservatory, 4 Institutes, and 38 Application and Research Centers. Dicle University provides every possible facility for social and scientific activities, with conference halls, student dining halls, student cafeterias, seating areas both indoors and outdoors, and sports facilities where students can relieve their stress, all located within each faculty building. Housing needs of students studying at Dicle University are met by placing them in dormitories belonging to the Credit and Dormitories Institution and other private institutions, both within and outside the campus area. Dicle University aims to raise individuals who are creative, entrepreneurial, have moral values, social responsibility awareness, and are equipped with universal values through its educational, teaching, and research activities based on universal values. It aims to conduct highly qualified scientific and cultural studies that are sensitive to society and the environment, and to present them for the benefit of humanity. In addition to their academic development, students at Dicle University are offered many opportunities to participate in social, cultural, artistic, and sports activities.
