Most campus universities in Turkey present a variety of accommodation facilities or other options. Apart from university dormitories, dormitories affiliated with the state-owned Higher Education Credit and Hostels Institution (http://www.kyk.gov.tr/kyk/harita/index.html) and student dormitories owned by private institutions also serve all students. Most of the dormitories have kitchens so that students can cook their own meals, and there are also small cafeterias inside the dormitories serving until late hours. Student dormitories in Turkey are separated by gender and offer both private and shared rooms. At the same time, dormitories offer students many options to participate in on-campus and off-campus activities and meet many other students.
There are also rental apartments shared with other international or Turkish students in all the cities where the universities are located. These houses consist of buildings reserved for students in the form of apart houses, and sometimes houses that students rent individually. Prices of houses may alter depending on the cities they are located in, their proximity to the city center or their location.
